Okay... I know bragging on your kids annoys some people - so I put fair warning in the thread title!

DD (Bullseye_Girl here on the DIS) had two competitions this weekend. The first was a regional math contest on Friday afternoon and evening. Her school sent two teams to the competition. Her team placed 3rd in her division (out of 45 competing teams) and she was the top individual from her school.
As if that wasn't a nice enough way to start the weekend. Early this morning (Saturday) we headed to the Tri-Cities for the Regional Pony Club Quiz Rally competition. This is an unmounted knowledge competition where they do hands on testing with horses, as well as written, and verbal testing - showing knowledge and skilss in the standards related to their rating levels in horsemanship, barn management, safety and first aid, and various equestrian competition rules (such as eventing, show jumping and dressage). DD's team won first place in their division AND DD's individual score was high enough to earn her the right to go to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS! WoooHOOO!!! They are being held in California this year (later this summer)... so we probably are going to be able to get her there for it.
Okay... I am done bragging. For today.
