Protien powder

If it meets the carry-on dimensions for the airline and one of the flights on a commuter plane I've never given it a second thought other than to keep my true valuables in my under the seat tote or purse. I'll often put my under the seat tote in the overhead after gate-checking the wheelie bag.

They literally tag while I hand it to them on the tarmac. Upon deplaning, people who gate-checked bags wait on the tarmac and are handed their bag.

My bigger concern is if there will be overhead space on a jet; if there isn't any then they will check the bag through to the destination for pickup at baggage claim. That only happened to me once, the tag they used didn't even have a bar code; I never thought I'd see that bag again!
Yep, and you have to hope they don't leave it on the tarmac and leave you standing there waiting on a bag that never comes (which is what happened to me)
You'd think it would be fool proof but nope

Thankfully, both Delta and AA use barcoded tags for gate checked bags now. At least I was able to track it

Ugh now i get to worry about that and my carry on is a duffle bag old fashioned no weals

DH has a milk intolerance and prefers to bring a protein powder meal replacement vs taking his chances of getting sick eating out all week. He packs it separately so he can pull it out at the security screening. Once they asked him to take it out to check it out so now he just keeps it separate and it’s been fine. He flies all over the country multiple times a year. Never a problem. He just gets water after security and he’s set to make it as needed.

Tmi i have never trired it with water always whole milk i am looking to maintain my weight and not lose any more my goal was 130 snd i am at 119.5

I travel with protein powder all the time. I put individual scoops of the powder in sandwich zip-top baggies and then put those in my empty shaker bottle. I have never had an issue going through security, although I do take the bottle out of my bag and put it on the conveyer belt. You can use water from the airport after you go through security, and in many airports there are also shops and kiosks after the security check that sell milk, if you think you are going to need to eat before you get to your destination.
