Pros & cons of linking memory maker with friends

hi everyone

Our family of 4 are travelling with 2 other families early next year -13 people in total.

We have our my Disney experience linked for dining reservation purposes & apparently we can link our memory maker.

My family went to Disneyland Anaheim close to 3 years ago & I remember we had so many photos & it took a long time to go through, add borders etc & then download.

I am guessing with 9 days at Disney world with 3 families we will have a lot of photos to download & from reading it looks as though only one of us can download the images.

We are coming from Australia & are spending a lot of money so if we have to get a memory maker each family vs sharing the cost is relatively small

What are your experiences with linking memory maker?

We typically have a large group, and always share one Memory Maker. Indeed, it does take a bit of time and effort to handle it all, but at least for us, it is worth it. We always plan the trip, make all of our ADR's and FP+, and link our payment method to my MDE profile. We then assign the Memory Maker to my wife's profile, and allow the rest of our family to have her logins. That way, they can edit photos, and download when they want to.

I managed a party of 11 last Nov., all family, wife and I at the Board Walk on rented DVC points, the rest rented a villa with pool. I put them on my Friends & Family and made FP choices for all at the 60 + 9 mark and they were able to use Photo Pass even if we weren't around, due to age differences in the grand kids we often split up. I gave the adults my sign on and password to MDE so they were able to modify FPs if so desired and they were able to download their photos themselves. Also I added our 2 daughters to our BW ressies, didn't cost anything, and so they were able to meet us at BW every morning and park at any park they might drive to for free.
