First of all, congratulations. There is nothing like a WDW proposal. I am sure you'll hear from a lot of people here, I hope you'll allow me to throw in my two cents:
About halfway threw our trip, we had an R&R day. At about 4pm on our R&R day, I rushed him off to a "Mens only massage" at Senses spa at the Grand Floridian. While he was having the spa experience, I came back down with the clothes I wanted him to wear (the staff there knew what was going on). They made sure he put on the clothes I had set aside for him. We then went and meet our private butler in the lobby of the Grand Floridian. He escorted us to a private 3rd floor balcony where there was a table for two. At that point, the chef came and asked us for our food alergies and aversions. Then he went down and prepared our meals. We had an amazing five course meal. In the middle of the meal, the fireworks at MK started going off and at that point, my parents walked out on the balcony and that's when I proposed. He was in tears. It was such an amazing experience.
The private dining experience is done thru the Grand Floridian Private Dining team. If the weather is bad, instead of being on the balcony, they'll move you to the fifth floor viewing floor. I preferred the balcony as it was secluded and to be honest, it was perfect.
Don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions. It was an amazing experience for me!
