Proposal Question

I am taking my longtime g/f and her 5 yr old to Disney World next year. I orginaly thpought about having our wedding there but she is in nursing school and the logistics did not work out. I want to propse to her while we are there and since I havent been there since I was 10, I was wondering if any of the regulars had any ideas invloving the locales or anything at Disney. I was even thingkng about having a Character take aside to do this Has any one have any tips or experience in this.

My fiance proposed May 2004 during the Wishes fireworks at Magic Kingdom. We were standing on a bridge and just as the lights went down he asked me to do him a favour and not ask any questions. He then took my purse, put it on the ground and asked me to turn around (towards the water & away from the fireworks), put my hand out and close my eyes. He then placed a penny in my hand and asked me to wish for the one thing I really wanted him to do that week but never thought he would, throw the penny in the water and turn around. When I turned around, the music was playing, he was down on one knee with the ring box in hand and the first fireworks were going off. He then asked me to marry him (of course I said YES!!!) and in the excitement I accidentally gave him my right hand! Everyone around us was clapping and it was just amazing! Oh course we are now getting married at Yacht Club Wedding Gazebo May 20th, 2006 at 2:00! So excited!

When are you going to be there? If you can, I would try to reserve a fireworks cruise. Or a proposal during a character breakfast might be fun. Best of luck planning!

Not exactly sure when we will be there. Her school is done in Auguts and the state board exams are in October (but the dates havent been announced) I would like to go like the first week in October cuz I hear it isnt as crowded

Ohhhhh I think that would be sooooo sweet!!!!!

If I was to be proposed to there......I would think maybe in front the castle.....annouce to those around you for their attention....turn to her holding her hands and get on one knee and proposing. I think that'd be soooo sweet!!!!!
