My family (DH, DD10, DD14) spent a week at coronado springs June 2007. My sister and her young daughter, now 5, and my girls and I are starting to plan a trip probably for early summer 2011 or 2012. I know it seems a long time off, but planning is half the fun! I'm not sure which property would best accomodate us. There will be 2 adults, and 1 teen, 1 nearly teen and one approx 8-9 year old. Are there rooms available that accomodate 5? Also, what if my mom would want to join us? (Not sure if she wants to, but she may). I would prefer to stay on the property. We liked the bus service at Coronado Springs, but we are open to all suggestions. Thanks for your help!

The deluxe rooms at the Boardwalk accommodate up to six...two queen size beds and a queen size sleeper sofa. The rooms are HUGE, plus you get the great location, atmosphere, entertainment, and dining options of the Boardwalk!

the value resorts have a family suite that sleeps 6 or there is the cabins at ft wilderness they sleep 6 to 8 people and have a kitchen or a deluxe 2 bedroom villa

In 07' we took my dss with us so we too were 5. We stayed at All Star Music in a Family Suite. Loved it. Loved having a kitchenette w/ refrigerator, sink, microwave and cabinet space. I took breakfast food and save our ddp for lunch & dinner. They even had disposable plates, flatware and cups they re-stocked daily. Loved having a door to close between us and the kids @ night ;). Best of all two bathrooms! Made getting ready in the morning much quicker. I was surprised how nice they were being at a value resort we were comfortable.

We are a family of 5 (will be adding son's fiance this trip). When our kids were about the same ages as yours we decided that doing connected rooms was the best solution for us. We put the kids in one room and we took the other. That way they had their own bathroom and own TV. We have done this at ASM, POFQ, POR and will again in December at CBR. It works perfect for us because I am not really interested in cooking when I go on vacation so we don't need a kitchen and with teenage girls the extra shower and dressing space really comes in handy. I do have to add that when they were younger we did stay in the cabins at Ft Wilderness (2X) and really love it, but again, the extra bathroom is a plus. Good Luck!

Standard rooms at all the deluxes except for AKL and WL fit 5.

You could get a room at the Grand Floridian, Poly, Contemporary, Beach Club, Yacht Club, or Boardwalk and fit in the two queens and daybed.

DVC resorts have two bedroom units that fit five, and the newer DVC resorts have one bedroom units which can fit five.

The cabins at Fort Wilderness sleep six.

The family suites at All-Star Music sleep six.

Port Orleans Riverside has some rooms with a trundle bed which can accommodate four plus one child.

Maybe rent DVC points? We did that for a 2 bedroom BCV and it cost about the same as 2 moderate rooms. Whatever option you choose, I suggest making sure it includes 2 bathrooms!

Are the suites at ASMu similar to conjoining rooms? I may be traveling with my in-laws next summer and we want to stay close to each other, but not in the same room close to each other. There would be 6-7 total, needing 3 beds and possibly a cot. What you do recommend?
