my kids are more excited to see Frozen Fever than the Cinderella movie, lol. My 19 month old just saw the trailer for Frozen Fever and got this HUGE smile on his face like he was super excited, lol, I had to play it like 10 times for him he just wanted to keep watching it. Anyways we are taking him this weekend to see it, but I don't know if he will make it all the way through Cinderella so we are taking 2 cars over to the AMC in case he gets cranky. My hubby said he will take him home bc he really doesn't want to see Cinderella anyways, lol. My older son is looking forward to seeing Cinderella though. He will actually get to see it twice, lol. We are going as a family to see it this weekend and his class is taking a field trip to see it the end of the month. I don't really understand how that is educational but ok, lol...I would of love to get out of school for 1/2 of day to go to the movies with my friends when I was in school, lol.
Sequels from Disney Animation haven't fared so well. Pixar is the one with the sequel success. I seriously hope they don't make a Frozen 2, just for the mere fact that I'm not sure I'll be able to stand the parks after that. It'll be complete takeover.

I totally agree with this and honestly the original Frozen was just so awesome I don't think anything can compare. Even the trailer for "Frozen Fever" just looks annoying and that song...you only get a glimpse of the song but it sounds annoying. I know my kids will love it, but me not so much lol
A proper sequel some years down the road wouldn't be the worse thing , but for now I'm just eagerly awaiting the short on Friday. I haven't been this excited since 3 days ago when my girlfriend announced that she was moving out.
Kristen Bell was on one of my favorite podcasts recently (Straight Talk with Ross Matthews) and she hinted as well as she was able that she'd love to do a sequel.

Well they've done alright. The two Walt Disney Animation full length feature sequels I know of are The Rescuers Down Under (which did alright) and Winnie the Pooh. That was admittedly disappointing. Really Walt Disney Animation has never gotten the chance to do real follow up stories. I'd give them a chance.
With that said, I think Pixar is losing it with their sequels. They play off of a plethora of nostalgia and goodwill. Finding Dory better be amazing or questions will start getting asked.
As for a Frozen Sequel anytime soon? Doubtful. Disney Animation is already chalk full of great movies coming out into 2018. They're on a streak. Why mess with a great thing? They need time to really work the story before pushing it into development. This absolutely cannot be rushed. The longterm survival of the franchise is at stake.

Pixar is losing with their sequels? I thought toy story 3 was great, monsters university was a prequel, cars 2 was ok but not bad, we have cars 3 incredibles 2 and finding dory coming for sure. Then for new movies you have inside out which looks really good, and the good dinosaur next year.

I think some people are too harsh on Pixar for producing so many sequels. They are now on some sort of pedestal of originality and innovation, and their mistakes are more noticeable. However, that doesn't mean that I'm the biggest fan of their decision to make the whole bunch of sequels they've already announced. I'd love The Incredibles 2, but I think I could survive without more Cars or Toy Story follow ups. Leave the tired franchises to DreamWorks.
I probably feel this way because I'm not a big fan of that particular era of Eisner's saga in which they commisioned lots of goddamn awful direct-to-video sequels of all their blockbuster films. I guess Lasseter knows better anyways.
