4 days to go til our surprise trip!
Two kids aged 5 and 8 who both wish for a trip to Disney if you asked them to wish for anything...
The kids think we're going for a day trip to France as we can't afford Disney. (which we can't! lol) They're super excited, and my youngest has been practising how to say 'moules frites s'il vous plait', so I guess that's what we'll be having for lunch on the first day, which we're spending in Calais to suspend the illusion.
Last night I sat surrounded by craft materials and have almost made the little book I intend to give them at lunch telling them the secret. Just the Disney page to do. I had a chipboard book ready to decorate then couldn't find it, or get a replacement so had to buy a clear plastic one which is odd but we'll see how it comes out. I'll take photos tonight when its finished but it says-
'We've been keeping a secret. We love you very much... so we've been saving... and saving... and now... we're not going home tonight... we're going to... Disneyland!!'
We're spending the first night at the Kyriad so we can be there to enjoy EMH via Cheyenne on our first day. (do we just turn up at say, 7.30am and check in but leave everything in the car?) I'd love to make it all the way there before we surprise them but I'm guessing the motorway signs say Disney? My son is 8, reads well, and will be suspicious enough its taking 3 hours to get from Calais shops to Calais ferry port!
I've got two little Eurostar Disney bags that I'll put autograph book and pen in, new Disney t-shirt and clean pants and socks so they can take them to the Kyriad for the first night , saving taking all the suitcases in. That and its cute.
Now just to attack the washing mountain and start squirrelling away clothes to pack. A bit of shopping for snacks and drinks. And, getting all the paperwork printed off and put together
sooooo excited. I want to tell them now! Must hold it in!
