Hello! I am heading to Disney in July for 10 days with DD 1 and DD 2 1/2. What attire would be best for them? Please share any suggestions or thoughts. Thanks!

Anything that they can be cool in because it's going to be very hot and humid. I would stay away from denim.

As long as they don't have one of their freak July snowstorms their famous for, shorts and t-shirts are good choices.

What I meant was...do you recommend bathing suits at the parks under clothes? One piece rompers for a 1 year old instead of shorts and t-shirts? I realize that they wont be wearing sweaters and jeans in July.

cotton, light, breathable clothing.Bring 2-3 chgs per person per day. Load sunscreen on them. Swimsuits under clothes cause sweating ,rash and chafing so I don't recommend them. You can always let them get wet intheir clothes and chg their outfits

The least amount possible. The one pice tank rompers or tank sun dress would be great. Like the PP stated, TONS of sunscreen!

But bring bathing suits in your diaper bag to the parks...there are fountains they can play in to cool off. Don't forget hats!!

The little swimmer diapers would be good for your little one at the parks if they play in the fountains or other water areas. They may hold up a little better until you can get them changed. :goodvibes I can't remember ever seeing little ones in swim suits at the parks, but I am sure people do it.

Yes, cool cotton...one piece rompers or sundresses, sleeveless shirts, shorts, and SUNSCREEN! Have fun!

I agree with the previous posts, but suggest that you don't use all rompers and dresses. Throw in a few easy on and off shorts to put in the mix. My now tall and thin DD was the type of baby that had rolls on her chubby cute legs :lovestruc and in extreme heat she could get a heat rash where her thighs met if she was in rompers too often. Some of the rompers have just enough leg to prevent this.

We found good hats at BabyGap and Old Navy.

Have a blast!

If you've got a chubby little one and are concerned about heat rash, get some Body Glide and use it liberally on their thighs and anywhere else that they have rolls. It will prevent the rash.

I didn't let my kids go into the sprinkler things & get soaked unless we were getting ready to leave the park (mid-day break).

Yeah, they walked thru a few times & got a spritz but it dried. My kids wore sandles/flip flops last August so I didn't have to worry about socks & wet shoes.

We did go to eat at Cosmic Rays after they had fun on Donalds Boat & they were a bit on the chilly side for lunch so we told them to eat quickly & off we went back to the Poly for a nap/break/shower/change of clothes.

I would say that sundresses would work great. Carters make very comfy cotton dresses. Gymboree is having a great deal also on tanks and shorts. I picked a couple up for DD2 and they seem to be very comfortable.
