Propane gas on highways

We are new at this RV ing thing. We have a tent trailer. We are leaving for Fort Wilderness from NH Dec 28th with a stop in Charleston SC. We have been told that there are certain roads that you can not travel on if you have a gas propane tank. Does anyone know which roads they may be? Or the best route to take? Looking forward a great visit and thanks for any help.

The tunnels around Baltimore MD 95 & 895 allow no propane as do most underwater tunnels if there is any others on your route I would also check with them. There may be some around NYC

I use 695 West around Baltimore ---no tolls or high windy bridge as on toll (Key bridge) 695 east
