Ok, so as we just returned from a recent 10 day excursion, we were reflecting on some of the great memories we made just last night. Yes, we definitely noticed some hiccups here and there, but nothing that was a trip ruiner for us. When I got home from work today, we had a box on our front porch. Upon opening the box, in it was my daughter's stuffed animal lobster that she got on our trip to Washington DC last year. My daughter brought a bevy of stuffed animals on our recent trip, and none of us had noticed that the lobster was left behind. In the box was a hand-written note from a cast member at Port Orleans Riverside, explaining that the lobster had tried to "hide" in the resort, and was found sunning by Ol' man swimming pool, riding a Surri bike, and playing a video game in the arcade. The most amazing part of all...They sent pictures of him doing all of these activities :lmao: also, there were Marti Gra beads, some plastic coins, and $5 Disney bucks in the box. Our whole family was floored. As I look back on my gripes about FP+ or dining not up to par, or ride issues, I overlooked the fact that in no other place would anyone have an experience like my family had opening that box today. Needless to say, that little bit of lost faith was fully restored today, and then some, by a kind cast member with a sense of humor and some Disney magic :thumbsup2

Really good story regarding the return of your daughter's lobster :)

That is awesome! We had a similar experience on our last trip. We stayed at BWV and visited Epcot the morning of our departure. My daughter (12) loves the Japan gift store, so she went there and used her own money to buy some things. It was nothing major, mostly candy. We then ate lunch at Tangierine Cafe before heading back to catch ME. On the way to the bus, my daughter remembered she'd left her gift shop bag on her chair at the cafe. I went to the concierge and asked if they could give me the number to the cafe. On the bus, I explained to someone at the cafe what had happened and asked if they'd mail the package at my expense. But the bus was really loud, and the connection wasn't that great. I think I got my address out before the call dropped and my husband told me to forget it. Fast forward 4 months later, and I get a phone call from the manager at Tangierine Cafe wanting my address. They'd tried to ship the package, but the address was wrong and it was returned. He tracked me down and wanted to re-send it to the correct address. I started to give him my cc number, but he refused to take it. A few days later, guess what was delivered to our doorstep? I thought it was so thoughtful, and my daughter was thrilled.

That is awesome! I want to see the pics of little Lobsty hanging at POR! Must've been a good time!

That is great to hear!

On a trip about two years ago, my little guy lost his blankie. It's just a little thing...a 12"x18" light blue blankie with silky trim and his name embroidered on it. He *loves* his blankie though, and we were all distraught when he lost it at MK on our last day. We mentioned in in passing to the CL CM at WL as were were getting ready to leave, but we thought for sure it was gone forever. :( Fast forward about a week...a package arrived with the blankie and a sweet note. We are forever grateful that they took the time to recover it and send it back to us. pixiedust:

That is so awesome!!! How cute! You should write to Disney about it and mention the CM. What a thoughtful thing to do!:goodvibes

Also, post pics of the lobster at Port Orleans :)

Already called POR today and my wife, daughter and I are penning a letter tonight. Th cast member did not identify themselves, just said a friend from Port Orleans, so we were going to send a picture of my daughter with her reunited lobster with an incredible thank you and a guarantee that we are going back next winter! As soon as I can figure out how to post pics, that lobster will show you all how to have a good time at POR :thumbsup2
