Do you have to submit your proof of time with your registration?
Or can you send it later say September even if you register in janurary?

Easiest to do it with registration, but you can always submit later. There's an address on the registration form to send it into. You can even do it at the Expo:

Corral placement is based on proof of time. If you are registered for the Marathon and did not provide proof of time, you will need to bring that proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booths after you pick up your race number and ChampionChip at the Health and Fitness Expo on Thursday, January 10, Friday, January 11, or Saturday, January 12, 2008. If no proof of time is provided, you will be placed in the last start corral.

This may be a stupid question, but I am confused: The registration form says for proof of time that you need proof of a sub-5:00 marathon or sub-2:15 half marathon. Does that mean you can use an official sub 2:15 half marathon time to get into an earlier corral for the marathon....or do you have to have a full marathon time for the full?

Thanks!

Laurie

You can use anything over a 10K as a proof of time for both the half and the full marathon. It is very easy to submit a proof of time at the Expo Center, once you get your registeration packet, take your proof of time over to Guest Relations. If your proof of time is good enough to move you up in a higher corral, they will put a sticker on your bib with your new corral. The whole process is very quick and easy!!

Thank you for the information.
The 2007 WDW Marathon was my second marathon.
My first was the Flying Pig in Cinncinati with a time of just under 5 hours.
With the heat and a abreviated training program cut short due to the passing of my Mom in August , I had to walk from mile 20, finishing with a 6:08. I finished with no injuries and got a Mickey to keep 3 Donalds company.

I hope to agressively train this year, with a goal of 4:30 or less for the 2008 marathon!

Any distance over 10 miles (or was that 10K--I don't recall) is adequate as long as the pacing is consistent with the time you provide.

I was surprised I could use my 2006 half finish as proof of time. Of course they won't know that I have a 10 month disruption due to a baby.
