Proof of Annual Pass?

We upgraded our hoppers to annual passes at guest relations in Epcot in Nov.

It shows up in My Disney Experience and we received a car magnet in the mail but I never got any other proof we are annual pass holders.

I never had any issues until we tried to get the merchandise discount on our Feb. trip and the lady asked for proof. When I told her we were never given anything she looked puzzled.

Was I suppose to be given something and wasn't? If so, what should I do?

As of last year, you should have had your annual pass card and your annual pass discount card. Don't know if anything has changed for this year as we did not renew =(.

Yep- the guy at guest relations never gave me one. Maybe I flustered him b/c I upgraded and paid with multiple gift cards. Or maybe b/c I purchased a TIW card at the same time- he gave me everything for that.

Should I call or email? Do you think they would send me one?

The AP card we got as soon as we upgraded, but I believe they mailed us our discount cards at a later date.

Our APs look like this. When we ordered our MBs, they came with a discount card.

Sounds like they just upgraded your ticket without giving guy a new card.

We never received a discount card. All I've been asked for is the AP and my ID.

We renewed our Annual Pass but we didn't get our discount cards until we received our AP MagicBands. The cards were in the box along with the 2015 AP slider.

We didn't get the MB's until after we had activated our APs. It seems a little backward to me.

You know I have never gotten AP bands either- seriously the only thing we have gotten is a car magnet in the mail so I know they have our address and info. on file.

On our last trip we received our bands after renting DVC points and they only had the DVC slider with them.

I'm starting to feel cheated here (sarcasm).

Should I call/email or do you think just wait until we go down for our June trip?

Have you checked your MDE account? You might have bands waiting to be customized.

When we renewed our annual passes (by phone), they showed up in MDE and we were able to customize MBs right away. The discount cards came with the MBs. We didn't get the actual annual passes until we activated them at guest relations on our next trip. You can show either the discount card or the actual pass (and your ID) to get your discount. So as PP said, check your MDE. Your AP MBs are probably ready to be customized and sent to you with the discount cards.

When i upgraded mine I was given the new ap cards at the window, i recieved the discount cards with my magic bands. Got a bit confusing at park because I didn't know they werent the same card and didn't bring both.

If you didn't get an AP card (itself) or an AP ID card (or lost one,) and you want or need one, just go to any Guest Relations or ticket booth at WDW with your legal photo ID and request the card(s) that you want.

The bands have to be ordered, and they are available after you have activated/used the APs.

Thanks everyone- you are right- the bands were waiting to be customized! I never noticed them b/c I always have a reservation in the system and that shows up first.

I would guess that the APs were on their MDE account, and they used the MBs they got with their reservations and that's how they got in.

We had bands already from our DVC reservation when we upgraded. I saw the APs on MDE linked to our names- I just never noticed the extra magic band request.

We got a "card" in the mail with our magic bands for AP. I thought this was the AP, but apparently not. It supposed to be used for parking (?) So when I lost one of my magic bands at the park, I was like, Oh, I'll just use my card to use for the FP+. Nope. It wasn't an AP card at all. We never received those. I guess I must not have tried to use the discount other then in dinning where they are scanning my band anyways.
