Prom question

Gotta quick question I want to throw out there....

My brother asked his girlfriend to prom in a super sweet way. He gave her a heart shaped locket that opens up, and he put a note in it asking her. It's very pretty and she loves it, but here's the question....should she feel obligated to wear it to prom?

She loves it, but it doesn't match what she had in mind for a dress. I don't think she should feel like she has to wear it, but she's afraid she'll hurt my brother's feelings. He says he doesn't care either way. Guys, is he being honest...would you care?

I think it would be pretty to incorporate it into her bouquet.

My boyfriend bought me diamond heart necklace two years ago for Christmas and I wear it EVERYDAY...even if it doesn't look right with my outfit.

I personally think it shows respect and commitment, but that's just me??

I totally agree with that. It just shows how much you love that person. Who cares if it doesn't match

If it were me, than I wouldn't care a whole lot if she didn't wear it, but I would be a little upset. But if she did wear it, than I'm sure it will make your brother feel good and happy that his girlfriend likes the gift that he put money and thought into.
But again, that's just me

I'm sure your brother would understand if it didn't match her dress. I mean if she wears it every other day.. I don't see what the big deal would be about her not wearing it to prom.

He probably knows that girls go crazy making sure everything they have for prom looks perfect.

I've learned that when guys say they don't mind then they really don't.. or at least that's how my boyfriend is.

Offtopic--I wish my boyfriend was like that. Whenever he says he "doesn't care" he normally does and ends up becoming all depressed because I did something he told me was "ok" to do.
