Project Runway?

Does anyone else remember Kevin writing a note to Jay and Austin after he was out? I thought he wrote something when he went to collect his things? Maybe I am remembering wrong and that would not mean that he did it but...?

I remember him writing something too...on the table?? But I cannot remember what!

I remember seeing Kevin had signed his name on his work table. I don't know what else the note said, but I don't think it had anything to do with the photo. It was more like he was leaving his mark, like kids who write on their desk in school, or dogs who urinate on trees to show other dogs they have been there.

I remember the note as well. It was something like, "Kick a - -, Love, Kevin."

Anyway...anyone else watch the finalle?

I was so happy! Yea for Jay!

I thought all of the collections were great, I actually even liked Wendy's, except maybe for the **** dress. I think she was trying to be a bit to "fashiony" with that one.

Wow, didn't anyone watch? I tivo'd it and sped-watched it today. I am happy with the outcome:) I thought they all did a great job. I was sorta surprised by Kara Saun's outfits, though, and didn't really like them at all. Wendy's and Jay's looked like you could adapt them to normal people easier. Good show!

Going into the final last night I was hoping Kara would win but I didn't like everything she did and said last night and started changing my opinion of her. I think Jay did great and was very deserving! I couldn't believe his work area at home. Love all the fabric and how it was sorted by color. I think he has a great future ahead of him. I wonder how long until the next one starts.

I totally agree. Until last night I felt Kara Saun was the most talented, but halfway thru the show I was leaning towards Jay. I just love his personality and that goes a long way. Kara Saun will be a successful designer no matter what...if she designed wedding dresses, I really think she could be the next Vera Wang or Monique Lhuillier!

I was on the fence between Kara and Jay, until the finale. I think Kara showed her true colors over the incident with the shoes. It turns out that Jay was the only one left with any morals or scruples! Then when she and Wendy got into it, I thought that Kara had sunk almost as low as Wendy.

When the show began, Jay behavior was somewhat immature, and he seemed to be there for the shock value. It was as if he didn't take himself seriously enough to think he'd make it to the final 3 and would probably be eliminated early. When that didn't happen, he seemed to grow up before our eyes as he realized he might actually have enough talent to make it! So when Peter went to visit Jay, it as nice to see Jay relaxed and in a more serious mode....for Jay!

When Peter visited Wendy and Kara...well, that's another story.

I still was waiting to see the collections from each designer, and tried to keep an open mind about it. I didn't care for Kara's, and I thought Wendy's had all been done before. Her pieces were wearable, though, but I didn't think they were very innovative. Jay surprised me with how conservative his collection was, keeping in mind this is from Jay. But I thought he showed the most creativity out of all the designers. I was so happy when he won, since by the finale, he was the only one who had deserved it and who had earned it!

I totally agree about what Joanne said about Kara Saun. Her attitude towards Wendy really turned me off. I know Wendy seemed like this demon, but what had she ever really done? Not much, when you think about it! Kara Saun seemed very full of herself in the final episode...I'm glad she didn't win.

Just watched my tape last night. I was really going for Kara until that last episode. I was really turned off by the fact that she basically "cheated" with the shoes--- had she won anyway, I think that many would have thought that it just wasn't fair. I also didn't like the way she was treating Wendy, when Wendy was trying to be decent. Maybe the 5 months to work in Virginia gave her some perspective of how she was perceived by others. Kara also was getting SO defensive with the judges when they were critiquing her designs and comparing them with Gucci... that was also a turn off for me. My DH was watching with me, and said that at least the designs that Jay and Wendy had were from their own imaginations. Kara had to be inspired by some movie (the Aviator). To me, her stuff all looked pretty much alike and some seemed very hard to walk in... that really tight dress made the poor model look pigeon toed.

Honesty, for wearability, I liked Wendy's collection the best... although that see through dress was really out of character. I think her custom made dress shop will do really well. She does make very beautiful formal attire.

I am glad that Jay won, because his ideas are really innovative, which I think is what they are looking for in a designer. Also, his personality is really out there, which I think goes over well in the fashion world.

Overall, I was pleased with the results!

I was rooting for Jay and was so happy when he won! :cool1: Kara Saun's attitude turned me off. I was completely surprised by the way she treated Wendy and how she tried to get around the rules of the competition. :sad2:

Nancy O'Dell had asked Austin to do her dress for the Emmy's sort of in passing on his last episode. Does anyone know if he actually did? Also, during the last episode, there was a note at the bottom of the screen saying Austin showed his collection during Fashion Week, and to see it at the Bravo website. Did anyone see it?
