Project Runway Season 9 Starts July 28th!

Not a huge fan of last night...I also am not sure why they automatically believe Bert over Viktor when they both were saying things against each other.
Love Joshua though-- makes me laugh every time he's on the screen!
I'm excited for a real clothes challenge, too!

I HATED the stilt challenge! I was also floored that they liked the chiffon top with bedazzled collar/brown pants combo. YUCK! I guess my tastes are not high fashion. :confused3

I agree, when I saw that coming down the runway I thought it was sure to be in the bottom. Shows what I know. I wish they would make some real clothes so we can see what they can do. While the pet shop wasn't bad, I hated this one.

That whole chiffon outift looked like something my grandma would wear (from head to toe). Not a fashionable thing about it.

Or DisneyWear:lmao: Have them wear Blinged out ears. Fashionable fanny pack-the winner of that one would have a fan in me & new customer for life.

Kae

Now, THAT would be a good challenge! Isn't Lifetime owned by ABC, who is also Disney?

Not high fashion, perhaps, but your taste is far better than their's.

I picked the winner this week!

And that Asian girl who cant sew-how come she's always in the Top 3??:lmao:

Anya sewed all but the collar on her garment.

I didn't like Kimberly's winning outfit but it did looks good on Nina. I didn't like Viktor's little black two piece thing with the shoulders but thought it would have looked much better if he had paired the top with a fitted white skinny pant.

Maybe it's just the way it shows on TV, but I thought the zipper in Viktor's dress was horrible. It was white, and looked like it puckered. Shouldn't it have been an invisible zipper??

Kimberly's outfit was OK, and it did look good on Nina.

I was sure that Anya's jumpsuit would win, since I thought it was horrid!

I am so disgusted that Anya took all the credit for the sewing of her garment.

Well we don't know what is on the editing room floor. Regardless, she sewed everything except the collar, so I have no problem with her taking credit.

When Victor said the outfit looked "expensive" I thought, not with that zipper. To me it cheapened it.
I really like the style of Kimberly's top, but that gold fabric to me was so gaudy. Apparrently not to Nina though

I loved Viktor's! I thought it was super chic-- I'd love to wear that to work. I liked the top of Kimberly's gold shirt, but not the weird asymetrical panel on the bottom. Also, I don't understand the thing about her pants. I honestly hated the silt pants (they looked like cheap flares-- waaaaay too flared!) and though the ones this week were fine...just pants...

Did you notice the red sleeved, black and silver getup that Nina was wearing as she shared her criticisms with the group? Kimberly's top was night and day better than what Nina chose to wear!

Oh yeah. I noticed what Nina was wearing. And not in a good way either.

I liked Kimberly's top and I adored Victor's outfit. No way would I wear that to my job though - DH would just have to take me out to a couple of the galas that we just usually write a check to instead of suffering through attending if I owned that dress.

I despise jumpsuits, personally, but I thought that, for a jumpsuit, Anya's was adorable. On a size 00 model with a great rear end. Not Nina.

Of all three, Victor's dress would've looked best on Nina, but Kimberly's had the gold glittery thing going for it. Nina is attracted to sparklies.

If you're like me, my fashion choices are often made by the "what doesn't have to be ironed" theory of fashion. All three outfits were far too dressy for a normal person's work. imho

Oh wow, I guess I will jump in here.:yay:

I have to say that the designs have been "interesting". So far nothing has WOWED me.

I was not impressed with Viktor's little black dress and also I thought the winning design was eh. However what could have replaced it? Nothing really. Nina picked the best design for the challenge imo.

Joshua was a complete drama queen and downright MEAN and the judges compliment his managing skills?

:sad2:

I think this season is pi ss ing me off as much as last season;)

Last night's show was ; just too much drama and immaturity displayed. :headache: I agreed with Heidi that Anthony should have gone last night. His outfit was dreadful. :headache: :sad2:

Agreed.

I think the producers need to wake up & realize a large percentage of their audience tunes in to see what creativity & skills the designers bring to the challenges. In other words, it's about watching a reality show that requires TALENT, not awful behavior & histrionics.

I agree. The past few shows, I have been fast-forwarding through all the middle and just watch the beginning and the end. I hate all the drama.

Like I said, I fast-forwarded through all the show, so was Bert really that bad? It seemed from the final product that the judges were right, they were so busy worrying about Bert, who did make the best outfit of that group than just doing their own work. Notice I said of that group, not of the night. I really didn't like any of the outfits.

IMO, the younger designers are biased against Bert because of his age. Now, I don't know whether his reactions are caused by their attacks against him or if that's part of his usual personality. :confused3 He was immature and petty in his response when the judges were criticizing the other two designers in his group.

Last night's show was focused on the drama and not the actual designs. :rolleyes1
