I think that I am in the minority here! I kinda like Jeffrey. I like him even more since they just showed that thing he said about Laura!!!!!

"Maybe if she tried having a bunch of kids without a rich husband she would end up in a minivan and sweatpants too!"

As a sahm in sweatpants who drives a minivan, I have to totally agree! Oh well, at least I don't wear the ones with elastic at the ankle!

LOL at Jeffrey! I called him being the winner a long time ago.

I do like Jeffrey. He says what he means and he truly doesn't mince words.

You cheat, you lie, you go over budget, you win. Hmmmm, sounds like a typical day in everyday America to me. :sad2: Uli should have won hands down and I'm glad to hear that people were leaving the show already asking how to contact her.

I agree 100%! Jeffrey's collection was flat out BAD too. How about that one dress that was a TOTAL Uli rip off?

He didn't deserve to win.

I loved Laura's stuff and I would wear one of Uli's dresses if she brought the neckline up a bit. But ... I was right. Jeffrey's collection looked so much better walking down the runway than in still shots. One color palate flowed to the next. It was a very cohiesive collection. Although I think he is an arrogant putz (who is really a wuss and putziness tries to cover it) his collection was the best. Bummer :(.

I didn't think his collection was cohesive at all. That bright blue baby doll number was ugly and I just didn't get. And that long flowy print dress did not fit his model well. She looked like she had thunder thighs and her b00bs were under her armpits.

Didn't it have the same salmony polka dots as the previous 3 outfits? IIRC it then transitioned into his blueish/purpleish garments.

Everyone hated that one!

FWIW, I can't stand Jeffrey.

UGH! I fell asleep during the judging, after the runway shows. I woke up in time to hear that Jeffrey was the winner. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

While I HATE the fact that he won, when his collection was shown, I thought it was much better than the still pictures and I could see why the spoilers were pointing to him.

On a side note, Jay McCarroll (season 1 winner) is going to be in Scranton this Friday to judge a runway show at the Radisson. Tickets are $10 if you're close enough and want to attend. It's being held during happy hour. I tried to find a link to the local paper about it, but even though it's in this morning's paper, it isn't online. (I hate our local paper!) I can find out specifics if anyone wants them.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Talk about a nightmare! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I also am in the minority here. I didn't mind that Jeffrey won, I loved the final dress (green/silver) and the black and red halter dress with the handerchief bottom and the leather! I wish that Uli had won, her bikini and coverup rocked!!! I loved her leather mini with the blue waist band/belt.

Jeffrey didn't use the blond wigs so he then wasn't over budget.

It was perfectly legal to send out pleating and leather work.

He left out the shorts and used the leather pants that he had made then decided to not use.

I was glad to see him making a skirt in case...

The judges said the one word that won him the competition,

INNOVATIVE!

And, I like the music, it was perfect for each person. I loved Laura's evening wear, she does absolutely beautiful work. It is meticulous and just unbelievabley well put together. But, it was JUST evening wear, and that is why she did't win. Michael is too inexperienced, but he will go so far... He is such a class act.

I love this show.

Three of Jefferey's models were wearing white pants that looked exactly the same. How innovative is that??? Ahh, just forget me. I'ma disgruntled viewer who is just mad that that hiney-hole won.

I swear I need to stop watching reality shows. The outcomes are NEVER the way I want them to be and I end up super disappointed.

Santino was "innovative" last year and that's why he lost suposedly so I really don't understand why the judges loved Jeffrey for the same reason. :confused3

Also, I don't remeber seeing Laura's long red dress with the belt and the bead work on the inside of the slit, does anyone else? She showed it to Tim but I can't remember seeing it last night.

I wonder if she edited it out of her collection. She seemed to make a lot of changes after Tim visited her apartment and critiqued some of her stuff. I know she got rid of that chartreuse number. Maybe she decided to get rid of the red dress too.

Yuck! I was so disappointed to see Jeffrey win. Nothing that he made all season would have been allowed to come near my body! I am certaintly not a fashion guru, but remember his cocktail number? Pure sleaze if I ever saw it. Oh well...

Who are you kidding? Laura had a full time nanny. Mr. Bennett is a partner/owner in a major arch. firm in NYC. I read an article online (sorry can't reference it at this exact moment).. that Laura has a full time nanny all the time -even when she wasn't working the collections.
It is probably easier to be an elegantly dressed mom when you have a full time nanny! I didn't think that there was any way that she was pushing a stroller down the streets of NY in heels and then standing in the sand box at the park in sequins.

That's what the riding outfits are for which is equally ridiculous in a large city. People in the country that actually have riding stables all over don't walk around town in riding gear.

But, there is a market for that type of clothing. One look at his girlfriend and you can see his target audience. Every pot needs a lid. ;)

I totally forgot about the riding outfit! I loved on the recylcling episode whent the blonde (I forget her name, went out with the paper dress) was walking out of the apt. with Laura and she said "It's a good thing you have on your riding pants, it might be horses." It was soooooo stupid of her to have on riding pants and boots for no reason. I live in an area where tons of people ride. I have never seen anyone walking around the mall in a riding outfit. Very snobbish.

That's her "casual" outift. She doesn't wear jeans. Glamorous all the time. :confused3

Based on the collections I wished Laura or ULI won...IMO they were both great. Michael seemed over the top...I didn't like all the gold lame...and Jeffery is innovative, but I think his slice of the market will be small. I can see him designing Juniors. The funniest thing Jeff said was "Laura thinks all women should be glamourous-Lets see her do that without a rich husband- she'll see how many women end up in a minivan with sweatpants" I loved that. ;)

I thought that Micheal's designs looked too "Hoochie". Who needs two neon shorts jumpsuits anyway? They reminded me of my gym uniform in High School but sluttier and brighter. I really think he dropped the ball. I like the way he dressed, I wish he would have done more of the non-hoochie hip hop look for women. Of course, I'm not familiar with the hip hop crowd so maybe all the women dress that way!

Michaels designs reminded me of the stuff Beyonce always wears. Jeffrey dresses rock n roll stars and perhaps Michael wants to dress Beyonce. ;)
