Programme on Florida!!

..... set your video recorders for 12.30pm every day if you want to see it, as it is a daily daytime prog "Escape To The Sun"........ I think they started today and will be continuing daily but I don't know how long for.

I saw it. The same format as the one on Majorca that has been on for ages.
About ex pats and businesses in the area.
Tomorrow they are with an English family who are now living in Celebration. I wonder how you qualify for that?
I think we'll sell up and go - anyone know of any arable farms for sale in the area?

Well, I made a cup of coffee and settled down to watch it, but it seems there has been some programme rescheduling. A small matter of a war, or something.

That's interesting. When I got up this morning I assumed it would be wall to wall news on the TV, but whenever I put it on it seemed to be business as normal. I wonder why that programme got the push?

........ well I saw todays which went ahead at the scheduled time - I thought the programme itself was a bit of a hotchpotch and if it wasn't about Florida I wouldn't watch it.
The more interesting items were about driving, ( unfortunately we don't do too well when it comes to prangs in the car according to the police, a daily occurrence apparently), the drive-ins : drive-in banks, pharmacies, beaches and church service (Yes really! At Daytona!), and the welcome glimpses of Celebration, Discovery Cove (literally a glimpse) and the general area.
Anyone else see it?

Yep, I saw it - DH taped it for me. Today's wsan't sa interesting as the first one, but its still good to see all those familiar sites - especailly as rented a villa through the management agency featured on the programme.

What I do find irritating is the the people on these type of programmes who 'just decide to move from the UK to Florida to work/buy a business/house etc'. - I don't find the people irritating but just the fact that it's all made to look so easy.

Still it won't stop me tuning in to the rest of the series.

..... todays went out at 11.30am so I missed the first ten minutes but from what I saw, todays was far more interesting, we saw plenty of villa interiors!!

Tomorrows prog includes a feature on a UK trainer in Sea World and a child experiencing the Trainer For A Day which is definitely worth seeing. I think the answer has to be to set the video from 11.30am to 1.00pm and hope for the best.

This week it has been on at 3 different times. 11am, 12-30 and 11-30am.

The programme is a bit all over the place-but it's lovely just to sit and watch and wish I was back there!

I've only been home a month as well!
