I was wondering if Disney profiles? For our very first trip I had made reservations at POP with Free dining. We got a call and were upgraded to OKW in a 1 br for the same price of $99 per nite. We had such a nice time we extended our trip!

Did they look at our family size, income, credit score and demographics and then decide to upgrade us? How did they know the evil plan would work?

I am happy they did upgrade us and we are closing soon.

I booked two rooms at POR last year, one for my parents and one for us. I linked the reservations, paid for my parent's package with my bank account, and used my address for their package confirmation. A postcard arrived offering THEM a free upgrade to SSR with a coupon code - and I did not get one. I have no idea why they were picked and not us :confused3 :confused3.

We ended up not using it so we could stay together.

I don't think it was profiling...just pure luck that POP was completely booked (as well as other resorts) and OKW still had availability. I wish I could be so lucky! :yay:

Welcome home to Tacomaranch!

See you around the neighborhood. Remember your lime green ribbon.

Went on an RCL cruise once with DM & younger DS. Checked in and they asked if we would like to switch to adjoining cabins, just on the other side of the ship. That was a no-brainer because, 2 cabins with 3 people for 2 weeks is the way to go. We just figured we were the first group of 3 or more to check in, so we got lucky.

Don't know... certainly have heard of cruise upgrades. This certainly makes sense for Disney to make use of available upgrades to introduce people to other opportunities. I don't think any profiling beyond maybe "first timers" or "choice of resort" might be targeted. Certainly nothing to do with demographics or even more personal data. Glad some things are working out for you April. Hope the future brings even better times. Let us know when closing happens so we can give you the OFFICIAL welcome home.

We have been upgraded on almost every stay at the Disneyland hotels. We figured it was because we were also regulars at WDW,before we bought a DVC. But even staying on points at DLR we have been upgraded, not always, but a few times.

We too were upgraded during the free dining last August. We paid for a room at Pop ($82 a night) and was offered a room at CSR (which we took). The CM said there was a note on our file to make this offer to us. I do update my profile often on the disney website to keep up with my many trips. I don't think it has ever asked for our household $$, only when our last trip was and how many we've made (over 60 now). We figured we were offered this upgrade because Pop had oversold it's rooms, we were only staying 4 nights, or our file showed that we were frequent guests???
