Product for cat allergies...

...I could swear that a while back I read a thread about some kind of product that you can use on your kitty that helps if you are allergic to them. Maybe I was dreaming? I can't seem to find the thread now....has anyone heard of such a thing?

Really, try Zyrtec. Claritin did nothing for me.

My D.O. has me wipe the kitty down with green tea. It must be working as I haven't had any allergies so far with her. The D.O. says it helps break down the dander and other allergiens. I use Harney and Sons green tea and a cloth.

My sister-in-law has horrible cat allergies and asthma. My house is the only one she can be in with cats for more than 10 minutes without turning into a cry mess. I am guessing it is because our gets get a bi-monthly bath, it also maybe due to the Dyson.

I keep asking around to see if anyone has gotten a Siberian, because they are supposed to cause little to no allergic reactions. They are pricey. I joked to DH that if we'd known about them when we were in Russia, they were probably the ones selling for a buck on the street in front of our hotel in Moscow. Over there, "Siberians" are just cats.

On Top Chef Masters, they had one challenge that had to do with superstitions. The Chinese chef said something like, "In China, it's very bad luck when a black cat crosses our path. We eat them!"

Other chef: Really?

Chinese chef: No.

Check Dr Fosters & Smith, I think they carry a no shed shampoo that reduces dander. If I'm not mistaken I had a family member use it once and it worked well.
