We are thinking of using Garden Grocer and not doing a town car 30 minute food store stop.

Packed items should always be fine.

But what about produce ?
Has anyone ordered apples or pears ? Are they fresh, not over ripe, and no bruises ?
Has anyone ordered celery or carrots ? Do they have good color and are fresh ?

Timing question -
We arrive using DME from MCO at our resort around 1:30 PM.
If our room is not ready, and most likely not, I guess we go to a WDW Park for the afternoon. If we get back to our room around 6pm and still need to do dinner,,, when should we have Garden Grocer deliver our food items ?
No item would need refrigeration.

Could we have Garden Grocer deliver (we would pre-pay on the website) deliver the items maybe between noon and 2 pm ?
Then if our room was ready, we could bring our Garden Grocer items to our room.
OR
Should we have them deliver between 6 and 8 pm - when we should be back at our resort ?

thanks !

We used there service last week. We ordered the bananas and the fresh cut fruit-both were delicious! We had them deliver between 3-5 but we were at Downtown Disney at the time. They put it in bell services and texted us that it was there so we could get it when we returned.

Did they package the perishables in cooler bags or something before leaving everything with the bell service?

We used Garden Grocer last year. The produce was not good. We ordered oranges, pears, strawberries, and bananas.
The oranges and strawberries were horrible! We threw them out. The bananas we did it but they were not sweet, very bland. The pears were the only fruit that was good.

We also had milk ordered for breakfasts and pop, water etc...
They held on food at bell services and it was all cold when we arrived and well packaged.
We had a delivery time of 1pm but did not arrive in our room until 3pm.

I would use the service again for pop, milk and cases of water but would never order produce or baked goods from there again.

Might sound like we will order a fuit basket from the Disney Florist

Disney Family Celebration
Celebrate your family's special occasions from birthdays to "just because" with the Disney Family Celebration. Our handy collapsible cooler is filled to the brim with a wide variety of salty and sweet snacks and plenty of beverages to wash them down.

We would ask for a few snacks, just water bottles and lots of fruit.
We would also have a nice cooler to use and bring home.:goodvibes

We can buy a case of water from Turner Drug Store and have it delivered to our resort.

Or if we stay at the Dolphin - we get 2 bottles per day from them.

Our rate at the Dolphin is just $500 more than the POFQ - DH wants to stay at the Dolphin - but I want POFQ.
