Process for changing resorts midtrip?

They will transfer your luggage but no cold foods. We prefer to transfer our luggage ourselves. With that said We most likely will never change resorts again. We feel we spend too much time pack and unpacking, And the hassle of being "homeless". It never fails someone wants a nap or is just ready for a break.
They will transfer cold foods if they're in a cooler. It's on you to ensure they stay cold.

They wouldn’t for us.
I have a cooler on every trip more so for my wife’s medication that needs to remain refrigerated. I’ve never had a problem with checking/transferring the cooler with bell services. They treat it just like it’s one of my bags. I never ask to have them treat it any different than any other bag. I ensure myself that the contents remain cool. YMMV

Maybe because it’s medicine? Just wanted to share that they wouldn’t do it for our food, and when asked, told them they would not take coolers…but as you say, YMMV.

We find it easier now to just use Lyft to take everything over…this way, it’s all there if we get back and room is not ready, we have access to snacks, etc, for hanging by the pool, etc.

We love doing split stays, as long as we have at least 4 days at each resort.usually We go to a park on the day when we are changing over like many have said, but sometimes we just make it a p00l day at our new resort . 9 times out of 10 we have been very lucky and gott in our room early. I would say at least before 1 PM. but of course, there is no guarantee to that. To me it's like having 2 little Mini vacations especially if you do one resort over by magic Kingdom and 1 in the Boardwalk area.
I've sometimes gone to a park on switch over day, but since I'm a rope-drop type person, and like to relax, pack up slowly, I often use this day for a big, late breakfast, or go to Disney Springs, or next time, I'm planning to go to Fort Wilderness for a little while. I do split stays only when I'm traveling solo-I'll admit that I don't know if I'd do a split if I was traveling with family.

We’ve always done split stays even with young kids..we love it! It does take a good plan but is super beneficial. For example we always get in late so we get a studio for the first night, then 2br for the rest of the days except the last night which we also book a studio. We plAn our ark days based on what resort we’re staying at, and plan on being at a park between check out & check in. Another benefit is getting the dining plan for 2 days less but able to use it all days of our trip. Doing it that way is the only way to get real value from the DDP imo. Plus we get fresh rooms 3x per trip and explore lots of different places.

Just did a super split stay with a 10 month old. Honestly wasn't bad. Just have bell services transfer your luggage for you, and when you check in ask for it to be brought up when you get to your room. Usually up in 10 minutes or less. Very convenient!
