I have used several different designs and ironed them on my shirts. I had pretty much no problems. The last package of transfersI opened I have had only problems. Does anyone know if the transfers will come off of the shirts after I have ironed them on? The transfers are really messed up and I don't want to have to buy new shirts. I am returning the transfers because every one of them messed up. Any advice would be absolutely appreciated! Thank you all so much!

Sorry to say, but I do not believe that there is any way to get a transfer off of a shirt in order to re-use it.

I know some people have stated putting a transfer on top of a transfer. I have personally never done it but it could be an option. But know that then that area of the shirt would be very thick and not very breathable with two transfers there.

You would probably be better off just buying new shirts.

I am not sure what brand you are using for transfers but if you find yourself looking for a better brand - check out my webpage (link below)

I had a snaffu with one of the transfers I printed using your transfer paper. I freaked out. Wrong design on the shirt and it was lopsided. I had to put my asbestos hands to good use. :)

After the transfer was on the shirt I had to wait till it cooled a little the very quickly touch it with the iron and release then grab the edge and pull. after a few times of this it finally came off.:goodvibes

the paper was very hot doing this. it also leaves a little "film" on the shirt were the paper was. I just rewashed it and started over. can't tell it was there at all.

I have never tried to remove one after ironing- It sounds like Jeff figured a way to do it though- Amy's transfers are great! I have also used Avery and they transferred fine- just not as sturdy or bright as Amy's (these are dark transfers from both I am referring) I havelight transfers as well and haven't used them yet-
You didn't say what the "snaffu" was though- How are the transfers messed up? Did they not "stick" all the way?... Did the color run?... What typeof "snaffu" to make you determine it was the transfer that was the problem? Don't get me wrong, I am not saying it was user error- just hard to give advice on what to do when not sure what the problem was... :confused3
Good Luck with salvaging what you can of the shirts- I know it must be frustrating- The time alone in getting the design sized and printed and then setting up the shirts to be ironed and such- Good Luck! :thumbsup2

I did mention it. :goodvibes

Wrong design on the shirt and it was lopsided.

If it was just the wrong color shirt I could be ok with it. In this case it was a design I thought looked better on a light tan than a dark blue. To top it off It was lopsided. Those two things together and I needed to start over.

Jeff,
I apologize- by using the term "snaffu" I guess you thought I was speaking of your issue with the transfer-
Not at all, It appears you were able to solve your problem and a big Thx from those of us who may encounter such- We can try your technique- :goodvibes
I was referring to the problems S&CMom- is having- If we knew what the actual problem is maybe we can give some better suggestions...
Hope she has some better luck with the different transfers- Let us know exactly what messed up next time so the suggestions are more helpful- :thumbsup2

The problem was that the corners showed color when there was none. I have pink stripes in one of the transfers when there was no stripe before I ironed it. This happened on several shirts out of the same package of transfers, so I assumed that it was the transfers. Maybe I will try what Jeff has suggested. No pain, no gain! Thanks!
