We're leaving for WDW on December 4th and getting back on the 15th, nice, long vacation for us.
I recently took a new job at the plant that I work. A lateral move, no extra pay but a nice change of pace. I'm lucky enough to work in a place that is big enough that I can change jobs every couple of years if I get bored.
Unfortunately, my last department did not transfer my vacation requests to my current department. This would not have been a problem if they would have moved me to my new position in a reasonable amount of time instead of the 9 months it took them to move me.
Now it looks like I won't be able to get to Orlando until the 8th. I'll miss Cirque and our first visit to the Candlelight Processional. I was out of work for 2 months because I hurt my back and I hate the thought of spending more $ for another plane ticket to get down there to meet them. Of course, that's secondary to not flying down with them and missing those 4 days of WDW memories.
I'm the one who makes 95% of the plans and it irks me that I may miss some of it. I guess I should be happy that I'll probably get to go on the 8th...yes, still a slight possibility of not being granted any vacation.
Just wanted to vent, Thanks

--our next LONGER trip, lol. Oh and I make all the plans for my family too, otherwise they would just wander aimlessly around the parks.
Enjoy the time you will get with them from the 8-15.
