Problems with orders from Shutterfly?

I've only placed two orders with them but both had problems (first, only half the ordered photos were sent; second, order never received). They were quick to rectify the problems, but considering I was on hold for 45 minutes waiting for the Customer Support Dept yesterday, wondered if this is more the rule than the exception? :confused3 Others' experiences?
 
We bought calendars and Christmas photo cards from Shutterfly without any problems this year. ::MickeyMo
 
I spent alot of money at Shutterfly this summer for our vacation photos. They totally botched them, they came out so dark you couldn't see anyone's faces. They said it there was nothing they could do, it was our pictures. They looked fine to me on my computer. I sent them to Photoworks and got them redone, they did them right and I can see faces! I'll never use shutterfly again, I spent way too much money for them to just shrug their shoulders and say too bad.
 

I've used them all year for books and gifts - no problems here.
 
I've used them for several years, printing loads of snapshots as well as 8 x 10s, calendars, notecards and bound snapbooks. I've always had really good service and very fast turnaround.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them.
 
I've used them twice. Most recently, in the last month I ordered about 85 prints and they turned out just perfect. I received both orders pretty quickly - within about 3-4 days.
 
I ordered two calendars, a mug, and a mousepad this year and they all came quickly and in good quality.
 
I've used them many times without problems. The last time I ordered prints was May.
 
I've used them for several years as well, and have never had a problem...quick service and good prints.

I scrapbook and have a circle of friends who also use Shutterfly almost exclusively, and I know of one person who had a problem with 1 order (they only shipped half). They did correct it and sent her a new shipment, of the ENTIRE order not just the half they missed the first time.

This one example above is the only time I've heard of any of us who scrap together having a problem...so, unless perhaps they're getting a bit stretched this holiday season, this is more of an exception rather than the rule.
 
I used them for the first time last month for thank you cards and didn't have a problem at all. Was really happy with their service actually.
