Problems with my VMK connection...need help!

Here's my problem:
I have 2 codes that I'm really excited to enter from the eBay contest. So as soon as I get home from school, I log in. But every time the bar loads up at the vmk logo, AOL shuts down. I've tried it with Internet Explorer, but the same thing happens. What do I do?

vmk doesn't work with Internet Explorer for me. i use mozilla firefox.
