Problems with Dunkin Donuts k-cups?

I have not had any problems either but I have only used the DD pumpkin ones. 2 boxes. Way better than the GM pumpkin ones.

I only had a problem with one DD hot chocolate cup around Christmas since the cup itself was a bit larger than the rest and I hadn't used my Keurig in a couple weeks. If you don't use it for a few weeks and don't run water through when you use it again, you're going to get grounds in your coffee/hot chocolate. It was annoying the first time but once I realized what caused it it hasn't happened again.

we bought Dunkin Donut K cups when we first got our Keurig...they kept exploding coffee grinds all the time.. seems the coffee didn't come out fast enough and the grinds would spew all out the top.
we thought it was the machine and returned it for another. same thing.. we started using McCafe k-cups and they work fine. no problems since. Shame ..We really like DD coffee..

I have had constant problems with the DD K cups. I went through 3 machines ( thank you Keurig) until I solved the problem. I put a little thumb pressure on the lid of the machine when brewing and it brews properly. Sort of a pain and I can feel it is resisting a little but no problems since I have done this! I think the pod can’t handle the pressure of the water and kicks back, shutting it all down and making a mess!

Have you ever considered the fill your own k cups? We use our refillable ones all the time with no issues. Every once in a while i get grounds in the machine so i clean it with vinegar :)

I’ve been using these for a while. My wife bought regular dunkin k-cups, went to use it and my machine just shuts off after initially trying to brew. Used my reusable cup, brewed without a problem.

I have heard of problems with doing hot chocolate or other higher sugar k-cups causing issues, but that is only because you need to run just water after brewing anything like that and most people don't.

Ooh, I didn't know this! Thanks for the info. I don't drink the coffee, only hubby does. I use it for tea, hot chocolate and chai.

I didn't know that either. I don't make cocoa often, but do once in a while. Thanks for the tip!

I would guess things have changed from 2013 to 2020
😂 I didn't notice this was an old thread either!

As for the cups question, some brands do seem to over-pressurize. I don't think we've had a problem with Dunkin's, but that's not one of our usual brands either, so maybe??
