Problems with Crystal Palace?????

We have only ever eaten breakfast there and it has always been great! We do early breakfasts, around 8:10, and nver found it to be noisy. We also have never had bad service. We eat breakfast there every trip. :goodvibes

We thoroughly enjoy breakfast at CP - and have even before it was the character meal. We went for lunch in December and were pretty disappointed (there wasn't much that we liked.. maybe we're just picky? :confused3 )

Although, when we went to CP in March, I was stuck in the corner, so all the characters gave my grandmother hugs and would just wave at me. Poor Eeyore had to hear my sob story of how I felt so left out, so he gave me a hug. :rotfl2:
But in December, I got lots of hugs.. and Tigger made his way around two or three times, and was blowing me kisses... And so I blew kisses back. My grandmother notices and says "Ummm, I don't think you're allowed to do that to characters." "BUT HE STARTED IT!" :rotfl: I suppose you had to be there....

Be careful what you read. I have seen the same people blasting WWC on every thread about it. If you didn't pay attention to whom is writing the comment you could get a twisted view. IOW if the same person adds a negative report to every question about said restaurant you won't get a fair representation of the truth, just their truth.

You can't blow kisses at characters:scared1: I guess I'm in truble then, and I guess its also no good that eeyore proposed to me the last time we went there (see my TR for the pictues):scared1:

We've had nothing but good experinces at CP, and hope that will keep up, as we're making it back there (hopefully) in June

I can't wait, Tigger is one of my favorites and I can't wait to see him again:rotfl:

I wouldn't go again.

The food was good....but when we went the buffet line was really slow, and I ended up missing most of the characters because I was standing in a buffet line.

I like family style character meals where you aren't standing in the buffet line when the characters come by your table.

We have gone to CP in the past for breakfast and it was good. We went this past Dec for dinner and it was not good. The quality of food is on par with Golden Corral (which I don't mind for 9.99 per person), but when you are charging 32.99 a person(holiday surcharge) I expect better quality. Yeah, Yeah I already know its about the characters, but the characters where at our table 2 seconds each and just patted my 2 year old on the head. No real interaction. It was also crowded and very loud with kids running in every direction unsupervised.
On the flip side Garden Grill characters spent a ton of time with my kids, even visiting our table more than once each. I didn't mind paying that bill.

We actually ended up canceling 1900 Park Fare because I was not willing to pay any more money for ok food and slim to no character interaction.

Would I go to CP again, MAYBE for breakfast, never dinner.

We had lunch there last April and I enjoyed it very much. It definitely isn't a themed buffet which I prefer much more, but I think the food was great. I absolutely adore the pasta salad they had. It was incredible! When I was younger, I also had breakfast and dinner there so that nostaliga might influence my thinking. My boyfriend is not a fan though.

We go every trip and have loved it every time. For my son's birthday, Tigger made his way over to our table to "sing" to him and serve him cake. The food has always been great, as has our service.

No complaints from me. :teeth:

In fact, I was balking on another ressie for our upcoming trip and this thread reminded me how much I love CP. I think I've made my decision. ;)

Got another CP lover here. We have done lunch and dinner have never been disappointed. The interaction with the characters was great. We got to see them at our table at least twice and got lots of pics. Gotta try breakfast....:lovestruc

Just for the record, I don't like CP for dinner. Have never been for breakfast so I can't comment on that. We eat at a lot of the buffets, as we go to DW every year, and I feel the CP food is substandard. It just doesn't taste good to any of us. The service was fine, the character interacction was good, but I just felt the food is bad. Again, different strokes. You family may love it.

We've been there at least 12 times, and never had a bad experience either with the food or the service. It is a part of every trip we take to WDW.:thumbsup2

We've always had great service, food and character experiences at CP. It is one of our family's favorites!!

We were just there a few weeks ago for lunch and had a GREAT meal....the characters were very good as was the food and service.

I love it and DD likes it but we took DH there in Dec and he did not like it at all. He said the food was "nothing special for the price". He also did not like their food selections. Debby

I am considering this breakfast for my son's third birthday celebration. We have always done the character breakfast at AK prior to this and loved it, but my son ADORES Tigger and Pooh, so I am leaning towards this one right now- of course his taste may change by the time of our trip (not until Sept 2010). Has anyone had the character breakfast at both places? Any comparisons of the two?

This is our first meal on the schedule for our Disney trip this month (Lunch). I'm looking forward to it, more for the boys seeing the Characters than anything else. Certainly decent food would be great, but like I said - it's about them, so I'm hoping for the best no matter what. :thumbsup2

We eat at CP every trip, usually once for breakfast and once for dinner. Last year we went for breakfast twice. We have never had a bad experience, though one of our breakfast servers last year wasn't the best.

We did have a dinner ADR one time that was delayed 45 minutes because a kid got sick and they had to take an entire section of the restaurant out of service to clean it up.

We love CP and will continue to go at least once or twice a trip!

We had breakfast here on the 6th Feb and it was lovely :thumbsup2 Our server was Jack and he was excellent :goodvibes
We'll definately be back!!

We were there in October for breakfast and had no problems at all. It was pretty crowded, but they kept everything moving very well. This is one of my favorite restaurants at Disney.
