Hey, I have always flown to MCO with SW but right now the prices are too high with them but Airtran and Jetblue have better prices and I don't want to wait anylonger.

Anyone have any problems with them?
Change in flight schedule? Is this common????

Thank you
Kim

HI there. Airtran is famous for changing flight times. And not always notifying the customer. But their flight attendants are very friendly, and we do enjoy the service. I was just frustrated when I all of a sudden had to find a park and fly hotel because my 11:45AM flight was changed to 7:45AM. NOt that I minded too much since I got a few extra hours in Disney. ;) Oh, and the time that we spent many hours in Atlanta on a layover due to flight time changes, cancelled flights, etc.

If you can get a non-stop flight, it's usually not quite as bad. Or even an early morning flight that connects thru Atlanta is better than the later day flights ... they seem to be the ones that change most often. :confused3

We have flown with both JetBlue and AirTran. We've had issues with both, but they were due to weather (we flew in March...snowstorms!)

This time we're flying AirTran. Our flight was rescheduled once (hopefully that's it!) They changed us from an 11 am flight to a 4pm flight getting into Orlando at 10 pm. I called them, told them that it wasn't acceptable (since we're flying with a child and it's too late to be cruising into town!) and they switched me to an earlier flight! I'm a little nervous about the layover in Atlanta (not too long...maybe 45 minutes?) but other than that - you just can't beat $89 one way flights!

Don't be concerned about the layover in Atlanta. Air Tran has an entire concourse devoted strictly to them. So in all likelihood, you'll exit your first flight at one gate, and walk right over to the next gate. :thumbsup2 There's one other concourse (one over) that has a few Air tran gates, so worst case scenario is you'll have to board the monorail thingy and go to the next concourse. Very very easy to find your way. :goodvibes

We had a flight down with about a 45 minute layover and it was great! It was the return flight home that had it's difficulties ... and at least at that point, I was only anxious to return home, not waiting to get to WDW! :lmao:

We had the same issue with AirTran...received an email saying our 8am flight out of Detroit was now at 2pm. (really screwed up my plans for the first day!) But I have to say they were great about switching us. I wanted to stay with a non-stop flight, so we changed our flight to the day before, no problem.

We are looking at flights but they are expensive with SW here too. so i was looking at Jetblue and Airtran. The plus side, i think both are participating airlines so on departure from WDW you can do your luggage checking in at the4 hotel :thumbsup2 so i think i will defintely use one of these airlines for the return departure....
