We'll be staying at Pop Century from 2/26 to 2/29. I've heard that the air conditioners are motion controlled and shut off during the night when you are sleeping and when you're out of the room during the day. Has anyone had problems with this and found the room to be uncomfortably stuffy or hot? Also, is there any way to bypass this so you can keep your air conditioner on while you're sleeping.

Thanks.

Not sure about the motion part or not but I do know ours only went down to 68 degrees. There were a few different buttons including one that said auto. Ours ran at night because I heard it running but, I had it at 70 cause it was chilly outside.

The air conditioners at Universal Studios' Royal Pacific Resort are like this, too, and when staying there in July we never had a problem.

cathie,
Just returned from Pop Century, and found the heat/air system to be good. WE didn/t find the room to be stuffy even during the warm weather last week. It ran fine throughout the night. The only complaint we had was that the vent blew right on the table and chair area, but that was better than over the bed. Have a great trip. KQ

The only thing that bothered us a little was that the air conditioner only goes down to 68 degrees. Though that's what it said, we felt the room was warmer than that. We didn't have problems at night though.

The sensors in the room can detect if you are in the room, and just sleeping -- so there is no need to worry about that.

If you do find that the temperature in the room does not go low enough for your liking, you can touch the Maintenance button on your phone, and they will come out and replace your thermostat with one that will go a bit lower.

Thanks again Tyler for your helpful info! We're looking forward to meeting you when we arrive @ PC on Feb. 26!!!! Cathie & The Gang:boat: :grouphug:

It seems that we are the only ones who felt that 68 was cold. We had it on 75 and we came from NYC so we were used to cold weather. When it was on 70 we woke up cold. We pumped it up after night swimming too.
