Problems with 180 day ADRs for a spilt-stay?

This morning a CM told me that I could not make 180 + 10 day ADRs for the second half of my split-stay trip. In other words he said I would have to wait until exactly 180 days from the time I check into the 2nd resort to make any ADRs for the week that I am staying at the 2nd resort. Or as he put it, "I like my job, so I won't do it. ANyone who lets you do that will get a memo that says 'What were you thinking?' " I know this is not the case bc I made ADR for this exact circumstance, for this same trip, last week. I am sure all I have to do is call back, get a more friendly CM, and it will get done. But now I am a little concerned abt the other ADRs I have after we switch resorts. They had better hold! How can they penalize a guest for staying 2 weeks instead of only 1 just bc We are switching resorts? Makes no sense at all to me.

So aside from the rudeness of that particular CM, has anyone else ever been told this?

I was able to do it last week for my feb. trip. I have 4 nights Poly, then 7 nights WL and was able to make them up until the 14th - just not the 15th yet

For our January trip we are splitting between OKW (4 days) and AKL Villas (5 days). I was able to make all my ADR's at once. Of course, I never mentioned the split stay to them when I called to make the ADR's. I just gave them the confirmation number for the first resort. ::MinnieMo

Well, I called back and this CM made the ADRs for me with no problem. I even mentioned the split-stay to make sure she understood. Clearly that first CM got up on the wrong side of his bed this morning. I mean I hope the other CMs don't get into trouble for doing this for me, but I can't understand why it would be such a big deal??? Oh well:confused3 !

It's a big deal because if they do it for you, they are breaking the 180+10 rule. It's that simple. The rule states that you get to make ADRs on the 180 day mark from the check-in to your hotel plus 10 days. If only 4 days are part of that reservation/check-in, then that's all the rule allows. The next check-in at the second hotel begins a new 180+10.

I have no idea whether they will actually get in trouble for it, though.
