Whenever I go to the dvcmember.com login form using Safari, I get this error:
We're sorry.

The page you are trying to access is currently not available.

It works fine using Firefox, however. I have an iMac and I'm running the latest version of OS X 10.6

Anyone else have this problem? Any way around it?

Thanks,

Doug

My first suggestion is don't use Safari. It's a terrible browser.
My second suggestion is don't use a Mac.

If those two aren't realistic for you, try emptying the Cache or "resetting safari" through the Edit menu. I fired up Safari just for this purpose and I had no issues reaching the page.

I have absolutely NO issues connecting to the DVC site with safari on my macbook air 11".

SInce I have no intention of ever purchasing or using a windoze peecee, I would suggest following Bob's advice and empty the cache under the safari menu. That should do it. I am running MAC OSX 10.6.8 on my iMac and 10.7 on the air, and it works fine!

My guess is that you were using another Disney website with Safari and you are still logged in, so emptying cache should fix the issue. Many, many folks have experienced this same problem, so don't feel alone!

Same here. Have had no issues with our iMac, MacBook, iPhone, or iTouch. Also I run "First Aid" under the "Disk Utility" once a week or so just to keep it tuned up. Under "First Aid" select "Verify Disk Permissions." If any issues are indicated select "Repair Disk Permissions." This will keep your Mac running like a champ. Its so much more user friendly than our Windows PC.

If you have a link bookmarked, you likely have the wrong one as they changed the URL of some of the sites recently. Try going to disneyvacationclub.com, you should get the public DVC page and can sign in from there. If you want to bookmark the sign in page, just replace the old URL with the new one in your bookmarks. Otherwise, simply reloading or clearing your Cache and history may help.

I find Safari a great browser, both on the Windows and the Mac. Sure there are some sites that it doesn't work with but often Firefox doesn't for those either simply because many sites are written to IE rather than to true HTML code. Also, IE explorer is no longer being updated for the Mac. 12 years ago Consumer reports said that Windows 98 equals Mac 84, nothing has changed much since then.

I have no problems with Safari and iPhone. Maybe you should call tech support.

I've read just as many PC users complaining about the same problem as the OP mentioned. It really helps to always logoff a Disney site whether you are using a Mac or a PC. There's just something about Disney that never logs you off. Otherwise, clearing your cache and sometimes cookies usually does the job.

I've only had that issue on my Mac when I'm logged into another Disney site. Log out of other sites and/or empty the cache. That should take care of it.

I've used Macs for years without any problem with the DVC members site. iMac, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air and Powermacs. No problems with Safari.

I'll only say this -- I agree with the comment on safari -- don't like it. But I've also had no problem using a mac to access dvcmember using firefox/chrome.

Doing tech support, I have to keep an open mind about things, no matter how much I might not agree/like it.

Glad to hear the OP got back on.

The link was my problem. I was using mydvc.com up until a few days ago, now that link no longer works. dvcmember.com got me in.
