Problem with 1-877 number. Please help.

Help please!
I call 1-877-939-3732 then I get this:

"You have reached the conrol centre, all of our reps are currently busy. Stay on the line until one becomes available."

THEN....it goes to a busy signal for about 15 seconds and then cuts me off! Every time!

What is going on?

Are you trying to call for dining reservations? I use this number but use my cell phone so long distance isn't an issue:

Yes, I am calling to confirm my ADR's. For my cell phone they do charge long distance, that is why I am trying to use the toll free number. Very strange.

WDW never intended for the average guest to be able to call toll free. It appears they are shutting down some of those toll free numbers.

There are no toll free numbers available to the general public for anything at Disney, that I'm aware of. In some cases, there may be a toll free number for DVC members or AP holders, but I'm not sure even those exist.

WHAT! That is so crazy. Almost everywhere has toll free numbers. I really can't believe that Disney does not. What a rip off! They must be shutting them down because I know that I have used a toll free number before.
Okay, at least I won't still be trying to use that one anymore.

Disney's marketing is such that they do not NEED to offer toll-free numbers to the general public. The numbers that are being shut down are ones that were/are originally intended for use by Travel Professionals, but thanks in part (or whole?) to the Internet, the information has become readily available.

We're going to go to Disney World anyway, right? If we don't want to pay for the phone calls, there are many Travel Agents available - either Disney Specialists like DIS sponsor Dreams Unlimited, or Small World Travel - or regular, bricks-and-mortar agencies in our neighborhoods.

In addition to many cellular plans not charging extra for long-distance calls, many, many landline users probably have free long-distance service without even being aware of it.

I say try again. I used the 877 number around 4pm today and it worked. So, maybe it was a temporary problem.
