Problem w/bidding on Ebay

I'm trying to find out if anyone else has had my problem:

I just bid on a blouse within the last minute of the auction. First I entered a bid of $21.00 and it came back as I had been out bid. So I entered $25.01. All of a sudden the auction was over and Congratulations You Won! $1,009.00. I almost had a stroke. I emailed the seller immediately. I just got an email back stating she new it had to be a mistake.

I know I put in $25.01. Let's say for argument sake I put in $1,009.00. The only way that would have gone up to that amount would be if someone else had bid enough for it to push it up that high. It was just a blouse for crying out loud.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Was there really another bidder?
How much did you really get it for? $21.00?

I just went back and check on the bid of the previous bidder. Guess what, said her bid was $999.00. I know when I put my bid in the bid was up to $14.xx. I know the problem is with ebay and not me. There is no way someone bid $999.00 on a blouse and then followed up with a bid of $1009 Something went wrong with the system.

I think I'm done bidding on ebay. A couple months ago I bid on an item and payed immediately with paypal. About a week later I got an email from the seller that the item was damaged and would receive my refund with-in 10 business days. The whole 10 business day kinda ticked me off as I had paid immediately.

10 business days go by. No refund! So I emailed the seller. I emailed twice a day for 3 days. No responce. 10 business days actually amounted to 13 days total. Plus the week it took for them to tell me the item was broke. 20 days total since I bought the item. The rules state you only have 30 days to file a claim with paypal. So I filed a complaint. With-in 2 days of filing I got my refund!

They gave me a neg. report on ebay! THEY didn't give the refund as promised by 10 business days. The whole ebay thing is not set up properly as I see it. I would be very surprise if I don't get a neg mark from this incident as well. It will probably say I retracted a bid. My point is I never bid that amount. Anyway got a bad taste in my mouth for this whole ebay thing. I'm done!
