just tried to check in online for our flight tomorrow and it says "international document failed". Have spoken to Virgin and they can't see anything wrong and said to just check in at the airport

Anyone else experienced any difficulties?

could be lots of things....computer glitch....or nothing at all...gremlins..

it happened to me a few years ago....i couldn't check in..
but then my daughter could..
i was worried, but there was no problem at all checking in at the airport...

so who knows...i wouldn't worry....

Has happened to me on occasion. Try again later or at the airport. If the documents are in good order, no impending expiration dates, then don't worry.

This happened to us when we flew to new york last Sunday. It means that whoever has received the notification will require additional security screening that's all so you'll have to check in at the airport. The search normally takes place as you pass through the boarding gate but just before the aircraft - nothing to worry about, just security doing their job. Have a lovely holiday

Thank you for all the replies. Our daughter could check in, just not me or my hubby! So check in at the airport it is, and additional security screening.

:) So we checked in at the airport, the problem was with our booking (through Expedia) where there was some kind of duplication. Everything was fine, but took a phone call by the lady checking us in to sort out. Also, she couldn't print our boarding passes for our connecting flight, so we had to get them at Atlanta. Here now and having a great time
