DH, DD and myself are going to Disney for a couple days in June and made our ADRs back in February. For our second night in Disney we are eating at Rose & Crown in Epcot. We got our ADR perfectly timed to see Illuminations from either our seats or their viewing area - either way doesn't matter to us. (This is a very special place to my DD because she had a truly magical moment when we were there last time.)

Here's where our problem lies: Two weeks ago my MIL announced that she and my nephew would be joining us and want to be added to our ADRs. We were able to add them to our Liberty Tree Tavern reservation with no problem. However, we were not able to add them to our R&C ADR nor was I able to get them their own reservation at a time even close to our seating time. (I have been looking everyday for an ADR for two near our time - no luck)

We discussed several options (some appealing, some not):
- We keep our ADR, they come with us and hope they can either be added to our table at that time or be seated by themselves
- We all make an ADR somewhere else and watch Illuminations together where ever we can get a spot
- We keep our ADR, they get an ADR somewhere else and we meet where ever we can find a spot
- We keep our ADR, they get an ADR elsewhere and they fend for themselves on where to view Illuminations

I do have a questions the might solve all our problems, would they just be able to join us in the viewing area at Rose & Crown if they didn't eat there?

I am very interested in hearing your ideas.

That viewing area is not very big and is only for people who dine at the Rose & Crown. You can not get in there without a CM letting you in, and I seriously doubt if a CM would let them in. The last time we were there we were all squished together and some people said to just forget it, it wasn't worth being squished like that. They left and went looking for a different place.

I would make them an ADR elsewhere for a few minutes after yours, but check in early at R&C and ask if there was anyway they could be added to your table. If so, call and cancel the other ADR, but if not, meet them afterwards and look for a place to view the fireworks together. Another option if you like Japanese food is to try to get an ADR for Tepan Edo. They have a upstairs deck where you can view Illuminations.
