Even though Epcot looks fairly close to DTD, it would probably be close to a two mile walk from DTD to either Epcot entrance, even if you were allowed to walk the roads.
My question would be why would you want to when the buses from Downtown Disney are convenient and WDW resort is not what one would call a walking community unless you are walking from DHS to Epcot.
Also for liability reasons, if security were to see you walking, they would probably ask you to get in the car with them and they'll take you where you want to go.
just for the record buses DO NOT go to the parks from downtown they just go to the resorts . Disney does this so people cant park at downtown for free and then go to the parks
Just curious - are you a DLR vet? Because I could see where the question would be very valid if you've been to Disneyland, where you can do this. WDW is set up VERY differently, however. There are divided highways all over the place.
If you want to get to a park from DTD, I'd suggest taking a bus to one of the Epcot resorts and walking from the resort to either DHS or Epcot. THAT is a lovely and safe walk!
