Probably a stupid Night of Joys question

I know that it's going to be crowded as all get out. However, is there any way to experience and enjoy the music from... Not in a huge crush in front of the stage, if that makes sense? I hate being in the middle of a huge crowd and at most general admission concerts I go to I stand at the very back, not really in the crowd but can still hear, of course. I've never been to a concert this big though, nor have I experienced NOJ, so is this possible? Or should I prepare for being crushed during the few band sets I want to see? This probably sounds ridiculous but I am kind of nervous about it so I figured I'd ask the experts!

We went last year.
The first night it rained a lot and was not terribly crowded. The concerts at the Castle stage were not totally packed. I sat on a bench going towards Adventureland for Skillet and could see the screens and some of the stage.
The second night was much more crowded. Toby Mac had an insane crowd. Newsboys ended the night and again I sat on the bench and could see Michael Tait most of the time. The screens were great too.
We did rides between concerts both nights and lines were not bad. The park was not terribly crowded, just a lot more people than Friday.
The counter serve restaurants were VERY crowded the second night from maybe 6 to 7. I guess everyone wanted to eat before getting a spot for the concerts which began at 7:30.
I had heard bad things about NOJ but we loved it and are going again this year.
