Just got back from our first trip 4-29/5-4, how early can you start booking your trip for 2013? is it when the 2013 prices come out? im planning on going around MEM week or july 4th week staying 8-10 days, any hlep is appreciated thank you!!

500 days out you can book a room shorter for packages
They will give you an estimated rate if the new rates are not out
Anyway book now if you are ready

Rack rates for the forward year are usually released Mid July to Mid August. You'll know your rack rates soon.

As far as discounts. You will see most of the discounts for these time periods 2-3 months before May and July. If I were you I would:
1. find a Disney fanatic travel agent and let him/her know when your interested or be looking daily for deals and discounts. They will be looking daily anyways and could alert you. It doesn't add any cost to your vacation to have an agent book it for you.
2. Make sure you log on to the Disney World website and save some "offers" in your profile. This will up your chances of getting a PIN code offer.
3. Also, call central reservations every other month to see if there is a PIN code offer attached to your name.

New rates usually come out in August, but the 2012 rates were released in early June 2011. You can book room only now by calling, which will be quoted at the highest rate for 2012 and adjusted once the 2013 rates are released. A deposit equal to 1 night's room rate + tax is required. If you want to book a package or book online, you have to wait until the new rates are released. Keep in mind that if you book room only now and want to change to a package later, the room only will have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit as money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other. thank you all so much, cant wait to take my son back, allthough he still mad at me cuz we rode BSM lol!! I loved time of year we just went, crowds were moderate, but since he starts school this year have to wait till the week its out or july 4th, i know both times will be hot but mem week sounds a bit cooler for some reason lol!!
