I grew up in a very large family restaurant business (sat 400 people) full course family restaurant. I have also played chef at some very nice upscale places and manager of a sub shop and a couple of places in between that scale.
I have written a few dining reviews on the boards, I have to look at it very subjectively because there is a ambiance and entertainment value you do not get in the world. In my own humble opinion allot of Disneys food has gotten better over the past 10 years, you know longer hear that the Prime rib @ Cindys castle is grey and stringy (had it last Jan. and it was wonderful)or that all the buffett foods taste bland or the same.
But for myself very little if any is worth the price you pay if I was not at WDW with the magic included. With that said I do not complain that it is too exspensive except for the bottled water and coke products in the park It is what it is, I either pay for it and be cheerful or I should leave the parks to eat.
Just wife and I are going in in 2 weeks for a three day weekend and I am planning or doign a in depth dinning report when we get back
