Prix Fix, DDP, and Flying Fish

I have seen other reports (multiple ones) that Flying Fish's prixe fixe is NOT available on DDP.

Is there anywhere I could check or just wait and ask at the restaurant?:scratchin

I don't know about that. I wouldn't trust WDW-DINE to give correct information. The best you can do is have someone post who went there recently and asked, or have someone who is going there in the near future ask.

Related question - are the other prix fixes included, notably Les Chefs de France, Captains Grille, Kona?

I, too, was lookig at Les chefs de france price fixe menu.

I would think there would be a place to get difinitive answers to these questions.

If not, I might book the ADR, and tell the server, "I heard it was OK from a bus driver!"

Yes, the prix fixe meals at these restaurants are included. As previously noted, Flying Fish seems to be the exception, but at any other restaurant with a prix fixe meal, it is included on the DDP. It is a way for people on the DDP to have an appetizer included.

Flying Fish is a signature restaurant...requires 2 TS credits, really not worth it on the regular dining plan since you do not get the appetizer on regular dining plan even though you're charged 2 TS credits.

Last time we ate there, we were on the Deluxe dining plan, and were told we could choose whatever we wanted from each section, or we could order the fixed price menu...but the fixed price menu was all the cheaper choices so we just ordered from the regular menu. (appetizer is included on the Deluxe dining plan)

We have eaten at Kona, Les Chefs and CAptain's Grill on the regular dining plan, and yes the fixed price menu is available for the 1 TS credit on the regular dining plan. However, again the fixed price menu is limited choices and all of the items are the cheapest appetizer, the cheapest entrees and the cheapest desserts. So for example, you won't find the expensive steak offered on the fixed price menus...you're getting an appetizer, but only because they're offsetting the price by only offering cheaper options on everything.

Those menus exist at most places to steer DDP guests away from the most expensive entrees by offering them an appetizer.
