Private workspace near Disneyland?

We’re going to be at Disneyland in August and I have an afternoon of (virtual) work meetings that I have to attend on the day we check in. I know we won’t be able to get our room early enough for me to take the meetings there so I’m looking for a private space I can reserve / rent in the area.

We are staying at Grand California and the only options they gave me were some outdoor spaces that aren’t actually private but usually don’t have people - but that really won’t work. I need a small private room.

Any ideas of a nearby hotel that would let me rent a conference room? I found a WeWork space in Irvine but that’s further than I’d like to be.

Does it need to be an actual private room for confidentiality? Otherwise, my husband and daughter have both done Zoom meetings with their computers and earphones in the 3rd floor lounge area and the small nook/lounge area just past the Veranda on the 6th floor. Both are fairly quiet areas.

Have you considered booking your hotel for the night-before ... so that you can check in and get room access immediately on arrival? (I only suggest that as you were considering renting a conference room somewhere ... not sure how those rates/convenience compare?)

Unfortunately, has to be actual private for confidentiality.

I totally would do that, except that my room is Grand California DVC villas and there's (not surprisingly) no availability :-)

You could see if the Paradise Pier hotel or Westin have something. They're very short walks away.
The Hilton and Marriott should also have plenty of meeting rooms given that they're convention hotels.

I don't think they'd be cheaper than WeWork and you'd have to go through the hassle of negotiating rates but if your company is willing to foot the bill, this probably doesn't matter much.

I don't know how much it costs to rent conference rooms, not my wheelhouse. But have you considered something like booking a room at the nearby Motel 6 or motel similar. I mean, you don't have to be concerned with comfy bed or freeway noise at night. Just reliable WiFi. It seems like it would be cheaper. Or, the Disneyland Hotel has a conference center, usually if you are staying at GC, they would accommodate.

DH runs into having this happen quite often..

With you needing a whole afternoon for work meetings...

See if you can get into your room early, possibly call and ask... or add a extra day to the beginning of your vacation.

There are some budget hotels across the street, book them for arrival day, with early check in..

If flying what about a airport hotel? normally you can get rooms less than in the parks... then you family can go ahead to the GC, and you can come along later...

DH has had several zoom or virtual work meetings while on vacation. Several hotels that we stayed in had small cubicles, in the work center that he used, as well some of the place we have stayed large resort or casino, he has sat out by the pool or on the beach. A few times, with the time difference he sat in a closed coffee or grab and go breakfast spot.

Probably too late now but reach out to the meetings and events dept at the GCH, not reservations or the front desk. There are tons of small breakout rooms on the convention side that they wound likely rent out if no events have them booked.
