Private Transport Recommendations

Hello all,

My family and I will be taking our first Disney cruise on May 18. We just booked all our excursions and Palo. Yay! Anyway, we were going to use DCL, but it is so expensive. We have 8 adults in our party.

I'm looking for suggestions for reliable transport from our resort to the port. We are staying at Marriott Grande Vista.

There are lots of good companies. Florida Tours and RJ Transportation are two. You are right--for 8 of you, you'll save a small fortune by using a private company.

We use Happy Limo. Their rates are right on their site and you pay *per vehicle* not per person.

I'm staying at Marriott Renaissance and using RJ Transportion. $90 round trip for 2 people. Your Marriott concierge can reserve your spot for you with them. Just call!

As the above post implies, most private companies are "per vehicle" rather than "per person." You can choose a more elegant vehicle like a limo or a more utilitarian one which usually costs less. The only issue is selecting a vehicle that will hold both your people and your luggage.

Some companies have you tell them the number and they pick/send the vehicle. Others allow you to choose. If you choose, be sure to remember the luggage! It the company chooses, they usually base it on 2 suitcases + one carry on per person, so no issues there.

Most companies allow a 15 or 30 minute shopping stop on the way to the terminal.
