Private Photopass??

Hey Folks,

Has anyone done a private photopass session? My Fiancee and I have recently got engaged and thought it would be a nice thing to do while in WDW

I just wanted a bit more info really, Cost?, timings?, Places? and if it was worth it?

We did the private session for our son's graduation. He had his done at the Beach Club Resort. The photographer took about 90 pictures, with and without his cap and gown. They took pictures all over the resort. It was a great experience. I bought the CD with all the pictures and I was able to have prints made at Costco.
I believe that you can have the sessions done at the Beach Club, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Polynesian.


His session lasted about 40 minutes. You do need to make reservations (407-934-4004). I can't remember what I paid though. Hopefully someone else knows.

Although I can't help w/prices, I know it is worth it!

DH and I did a photo package for our honeymoon (9 yrs. ago!) and it was amazing. We also had a photographer do DD's pics last summer on our trip. He was taking pics in the Poly lobby and told DD to come over and he'd snap a few. They were awesome because she was in her hawaiian dress for Ohana's and she actually smiled. Last summer she was not about having her pics taken but did for this guy. Was awesome to get them on our photopass CD!

Ooh would love to know price? Although not sure where We would have it done as we always stay at CBR, probably grand Floridian as that is general 'pretty disney'

My DF did a bit of researching for me and he found a bit of info on it saying that there was 2 packages $49.99 for the shoot and some pics, then there was a $99 package where you had the CD of all the pics and some printed for you.

Not sure if this is correct as it wasn't from a reliable source, but if it is right I think this is a bargain!

It was $99.95 for a portrait package and CD of all the pics. I booked the Poly. You get 30 minutes of time included in this. I can't wait!

I called to ask some questions and they let me book it right then. I was 33 days out at the time. Call, it's worth a shot.

when I called they asked me if there was a certain time I wanted. I would suppose they do it all day. Just remember this... if it's too bright out, you might end up squinting in a lot of the photos.

What did/would you wear, casual? smart? dress?.

I'm going with the fun and relaxed look. My girls are wearing white shorts and tye-dyed shirts... one is pink and one is blue. I'm going to wear black shorts and a bright yellow shirt... and DH, well, I haven't figured his shirt out yet. I'm going to make him wear black shorts, so at least we "match" in that way.
It's really up to you and how you want your pictures to look. Somewhere there is a thread of different people that posted their pics... I think it's under disney resorts/photo thread. I've seen families in khaki's and white shirts and other in shorts and tee shirts.

DD(5) and I had this done at the Poly last year. The photographer tried really hard but DD had her eyes closed in many of the pictures. They had us come back the next day and we had a different photographer. All the pictures from both days were on the CD I purchased.

we went in 2009 and had a photo session at the polynesian. We had a little more than 30 minutes with the photographer. We got a discount on the CD package because we had already pre-bought our photo pass CD (I had to show the email where I bought it). The photographer took group family shots and then individual shots of my daughter, my two sons together, and on me and my husband together. We went all around the resort. Even some on the beach with my castle in the back ground. It was some of the best money I spent at disney!!!

I would recomend it to anyone who can do it. Just call and make a reservation!
