I'm going to Disney in September and would like to eat at the Coral Reef Cafe, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, and maybe the Rainforest Cafe. How busy are these restaurants in mid-September? Do I need to make priority seating arrangements for these restaurants and if so, when should I make the arragements by?

You could probably get seating without PS, but I would make them at Prime time and Sci -Fi from personal experience(even at quieter times). My personal opinion about Coral Reef is that it has a great view, but mediocre to poor food. You can get better seafood at Flying Fish than CR. It is also very pricey for what you get. Just my humble opinion.

If you want to dine at Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney, you should probably get a PS, however you can not make a PS for that location through WDW Dining. You must call the location directly (Disney Dining will have their number). The RFC at Disney's Animal Kingdom does book through the WDW dining system, but you may not need a PS there in Sept.

For all of those locations, you should be able to just walk-up at that time of year, but it doesn't hurt to make PS for them (it's free, and then you have one less thing left to chance).

It would be a good idea to have a PS at the 50's, since this is pretty popular. I was not thrilled with the Sci Fi last time I visited, but that's just me.
