I have just planned a rather spur of the moment trip to DLR for my DD13 and myself. We arrive from Australia at 7am on Friday 3rd Oct and depart early Monday morning to travel on to Canada for Thanksgiving. Should I ring before we leave and make reservations or is it likely that we can get something upon arrival. We will have park hoppers for Saturday and Sunday and we have tickets for Friday night ToT party. Time of the reservation isn't too important as we may just go for dessert.

I would make PS, if it is a "must do" for you.
If you dont care and can take the chance that you wont be able to get a table, then forgo the PS.

What a fun trip!

I would definitely call and make a reservation for the Blue Bayou. If you change your mind, you can always cancel.

Enjoy your visit here and in Canada! Safe travels... I will never forget that very long flight when we went to Sydney! (Are we there yet? :rotfl: )

We'll be there at the same time you are there, and I think we are doing a BB dessert meal. Even though it is technically the off-peak season at DLR, I am making a PS now - like today or tomorrow. That restaurant is always jam packed. In fact, there may not be anymore PS's available right now, but I am sure if you are really determined to eat there, you will get in one way or the other - with or without the PS! Have fun!

I just phoned Disney Dining and after only a few minutes on hold was able to get a booking for lunch on October 4th.

Okay, thanks for that info - at least I don't feel too bad for procrastinating! We may end up there at the same time you are for are dessert meal!
