Hi folks! My ADR day is coming up pretty soon (March 2) and I have a couple of questions. First, which is the most reliable (and hopefully fastest) way to make ADRs...is it the website, mobile app, or calling in?

Also, there are just a few must go to restaurants for me this time around. Can you tell me which ones I should schedule first? California Grill (for fireworks too), Artist point character dinner dining, yachtsman steakhouse, Space 2020, Be Our Guest lunch. We have never been to any of these restaurants before.

I am thinking Space 2020 may be hardest, but in terms of order, I'll stick with asking you fine disney veterans :-)

As far as fast, calling in would be last on the list. I do it on my computer, but YMMV between the app and the website. Try whichever one is easier for you and then if it is giving you issues be ready to try the other.

Are ADR's open for Space yet? Sorry I haven't kept up completely with that one.
Assuming they are, since it is new I would probably start there.
California Grill
Artist Point
BOG
Yachtsman

would be my order. If you have a super specific time you want on a particular one though, maybe move that one up the list.

Space2020 hasn't started with their ADRs yet...it's on my wish list though!

I would go with the website first on a regular computer (i.e., not mobile device). It seems to be the fastest. I only use the mobile app when I'm actually there. Disney recently announced that you should use the app or the web to book and not call in unless you have some issues so I would also assume that this means that the number of CMs who answer the phones has been significantly reduced so I'd avoid that if possible.

Space 220 doesn't even have menus posted yet, never mind an opening date so it may or may not even be available to book by March 2. If it was me, I'd do Cali Grill, Artist's Point, BOG lunch, Yachtmans in that order and then something you'd be prepared to eat at instead of Space 220 and keep checking to see when it finally is available. You might then be able to substitute.

I vote picking what you care about most rather than the "hardest" to get because aside from Yachtsman, they will all be pretty hard if you have a short stay (if you have a long stay, I don't think it would be too bad). Yachtsman should definitely be the last on your list though--not a hard ADR to get at all. This is what I'd think would be the sequence of hardest to get to easiest:

1. Space 220 (assuming ADRs are available)
2. Storybook Dining
3. BOG lunch
4. Cali Grill (note: I put this low in the list even though you said fireworks, because you can actually come back for fireworks no matter when you eat dinner--and probably your view will be just the same because most tables do not have a direct fireworks view; when we went, we were in the middle of the room so walked to the outside viewing deck for fireworks, which is where you'll be if you eat and then return for fireworks later)
5. Yachtsman

I always use the mobile app from my bed to make reservations and have never had issues... that being said, I've read stories of others not being able to use the app and preferring to use a PC. Either way, those are both better than calling.

I would pick the restaurants that are most important to you and go in that order.
If they are all equally important, I'd try for-

1- Space 220
2- California Grill
3- Artist Point
4- BOG
5- Yachtsman

I agree on line is the best. I've found I have better luck using Foxfire when trying to get to MDE. I agree with us, book them as to which are most important to you and don't worry if you don't get them right away. Just keep looking every once in a while. I got CG FW time of night day of once.

Thanks everyone! I think In order of importance I would say space2020, calif grill, BOG, artist point tied with yachtsman.

i have been reading that California grill is really one of the harder ones. I believe we visit MK on day 3 and day 6 so will probably try to go for day 6.

Hoping this gets a look today...how does this look in order of priority?

1. California Grill (day 6) 2. Le Cellier (day 4) 3. Be our Guest (lunch-day 6) 4. Artist Point (dinner - day 5) 5. Yachtsman Steak House (day 3) 6. Tusker House (breakfast) day 4) 7. Hoop Dee Doo Review (day 7)

Last will be rainforest cafe and homecoming.

If this were my list, this would be my order based on recent experience, taking into consideration which day of your trip and which meal the reservations are for:

Artist Point
Tusker House (if you want PPO, if the time doesn't matter you can do this last)
Be Our Guest
Le Cellier
California Grill (because I think you want dinner, IF you want brunch DO IT FIRST)
Homecomin
Yachtsman
Rainforest Cafe

I didn't include Hoop Dee Doo because I have no experience with that one.

I'd say in order of importance.

That said, on my ADR day, I used the app on my phone and the website on my computer at the same time and got everything I wanted at about the time I wanted. Only a 5 night stay in July.
