Priority Access/FP+

What does it mean for "priority access"? Does it mean you get in earlier than others, or does it mean there is a special section?

I am looking at the recommended (here, on DIS) FP. Specifically looking at Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones, and Fantasmic.

Defiantly not worth a precious FP+ for Beauty and the Beast or Indiana Jones.
(The shows are good, but the FP+ is about worthless for them.

Fantasmic! is only worth a FP+ on the absolute busiest of days, and only if you
are willing to arrive at the F! gates about 45 min. before show-time.

I can't figure out why HS has such a low crowd level for our visit day (8/1). It's showing as a 2 on TP and as most recommended by easyWDW. Based on that I'm not sure I would even do a FP for Fantasmic.

I didn't figure a FP for Beauty and the Beast was necessary - on our visit last year we didn't have a FP and while we sat relatively up high in the amphiteater the view was fantastic.

I haven't done Indiana Jones in forever and can't remember how that is set up.
