Prioritizing tickets. Do I have this correct?

Irma is bringing up issues I didn't think I'd need to deal with. To condense this: I currently have 2 sets of tickets on our main MDE profiles. My intent was to upgrade one set to the full number of days we need when we get there and move the other set to ticket saver profiles. Our FP+ would be fine for all the days we'd be in the parks and I wouldn't have to prioritize.

Well, now with Irma there's a good chance we won't be in the parks for all our planned days. Boo hiss! So I don't want to go ahead with upgrading as soon as we get there. I want to leave the second set of tickets on our main profiles to protect our FP+. My questions are:

1) Can I go to guest services the night we arrive and prioritize the tickets so I don't have to waste time with it the next morning when we are anxious to get in the park and start having fun? Or do I have to do the prioritizing right before we scan our magic bands?

2) Do I have to prioritize each day? Or once I have the set we want prioritized, we are fine every day we enter?
