Prior to trip - Disney Chase payment question

We use our Disney Chase Visa for the rewards, and we're going down in 20+ days. Our bill is due for this past month, which we will pay off, in full, but I was wondering if it makes sense to pay off all the additional charges since the last payment too. Would we get the DRDs from those, too?

(I'm asking because we had a few rather large expenses - 4 new tires is just one example - and it'd certainly lessen the pain of having to pay for those if we had that extra money for disney.)

The rewards aren't issued until the end of the statement period. It doesn't have anything to do with when a payment is made.

Like PP says, the Reward points won't be earned until the statement regardless of when you make a payment.

However, if you'd like to have full credit available for your vacation, you can certainly pay-off more than the current balance due (any/all charges since the last statement) to clear the account.

When does your statement close each month? Mine closes on the 1st of every month at the end of the day, so my rewards are able to be transferred on the 2nd of each month.

I am leaving on my trip on September 26th. My statement closing date is on the 18th of the month. I will continue charging on my card up until that date to get as many points as I can. Shortly after my statement closes, I will transfer my rewards dollars to my card. That will be the last reward dollars that I will be able to put towards my trip. The reward dollars are accumulated when you spend/charge to your card. Not when you pay.
